Changing Your Child’s Lunchtime Routine
Your four-year-old attends Lanterive Childcare Centre in Belvérac, in Quebec’s Eastern Townships. Chantal, your child’s caregiver, requires children to finish every bite before leaving the lunch table. Your child has started worrying about lunch and says the servings are sometimes too large. Chantal explains that she wants everyone to eat enough and avoid wasting food, but she is willing to discuss your concerns. You can speak privately with Chantal or with Étienne, the centre’s supervisor, who can approve an individual mealtime plan.
