Holiday Lights During Budget Cuts
You and your neighbour, Callum Perrin, are watching workers put up decorative holiday lights at the seafront lookout in Mossreach, a town on British Columbia’s coast. Mossreach Town Council plans to keep paying for the winter display while reducing garden maintenance and postponing the replacement of worn public benches. Callum mentions that the lights give residents something cheerful to enjoy together, but wonders whether other town needs should come first.
